Lupe & Kenna finally released the visuals for their Haiti relief track, Resurrection. It’s part of a compilation album presented by Music for Relief, and the profit from the downloads will go directly to relief efforts in Haiti. Even though it’s no longer the “news of the day” and CNN has pushed it to the back burner, there’s more that needs to be done to help. The album also features unreleased music from Linkin Park, Alanis Morissette, Metric & much more. And really, good music for a good cause is a win-win situation.

The homie P Reign just dropped his second single “In My Hood“. His first single “Money in My pocket” created a big hype for him in Toronto, Canada and internationally so this follow up single will hopefully bring more attention to his music. For those who don’t know him, he’s a determined artist. He knows what he wants and is not afraid to get it. For a while now, there has been a mixtape in the works, and it will be coming out shortly. For now, enjoy “In My Hood” produced by Canadian producer, T-Minus [How Low - Ludacris.] If you want to find out more about P, check out an exclusive interview we did with him on the set of the videoshoot for “Money in My Pocket” last year.

I like this kid. He’s come a long way. I will be the first to testify to that. In the past year or so he has grown and matured into a good musician and I honestly believe that there is room for artists like him in this over-saturated business of music that we’re in. Words from EF
“The Chixtape is a concept I came up with back in high-school…and it is by no means a mushy-gushy I-love-you-like-cooked-food kinda thing. It goes without saying that relationships (and male/female interactions in general) have their ups and downs. By compiling these tracks (new AND old) I tried to scratch the surface on some of my experiences…and the experiences of people around me (as inspiration comes from anywhere).
There’s been a bit of confusion about the “special features” that I have records with. Joe Budden, Big Sean, and Chrisette Michele are all on “The Delivery Boy”, not “The Chixtape”. This project was just to give you guys something to hold on to and something for me to do as I wait for these amazing artists to send me what I need left from them.
Here it is.

So Chris Brown dropped this mixtape earlier today, alongside DJ Drama & DJ Sense. I think more R&B artists should drop mixtapes regularly, between, leading up to or even alongside studio projects like most MC’s do. Worked wonders for Trey Songz. Anyway, Chris seems eager to break free even more from his squeaky clean image (uhh..) by givin us some x-rated content. Invented Head? I ain’t mad…
