   crap awards. crap crap crap.

   they would’ve been better off doing a nice montage of Michael vids and clips and then PROPERLY preparing a seperate tribute show. year after year the BET Awards look more and more amateur. its sad. BET lost AGAIN last nite.

   the nites saviours tho were Jamie Foxx, The O’Jays (shout out to Eddie Levert – he had me laughin and shit!), a strong in all things considered sense Janet Jackson, Jay Z, Alicia Keys, Taraji & Tyrese (before Ving Rhames’ bitch ass), Maxwell (oooooh Maxwell) and Idris Elba (the first star to actually NOT “thank” Joe Jackson but acknowledge the matriarch Katherine Jackson and Drake – Toronto STAND UP. (poor ting with the ACL) I’m glad he hobbled off the stage … I didn’t want to see him cavorting with those idiots ….

   This Award show was horrible to me. A Horrible tribute to the late great. Here is why (All laid out)

   1. I felt like the show was centered around Jamie Foxx and Ne-yo 24/7. If Jamie wasn’t performing his album and his tour dates were being told. Both Ne-yo and Jamie had a combined 6 performances, 3 piece.

   2. I honestly thought that picking Ne-yo to be the main Michael Jackson performer was a horrible decision. I mean seriously, they should have done everything they could to reach out to Usher. Or at least Justin Timberlake (I mean he acts black anyways)

   3. There were no dance tributes!? Michael Jackson is known for being a dancer. So why the hell were BET so stuck on doing ballads by Michael? I mean to me that’s the easy way out to tribute him.

   4. I honestly thought Keke Palmer should have performed in the main show. That girl could sang.

   5. WHY THE HELL WAS SOULJA BOY PERFORMING IN THE MAIN SHOW?!? BET loves this one hit wonder. He should have been in the pre show, and used that slot for a Michael Jackson tribute. It was a waste of 4 minutes watching Soulja Boy parade around the stage looking like a complete loser.

   6. Drake, Lil Wayne, and Birdman were hilarious to me. Drake, this was his first major award show and he even got to perform on the main show! This dude was sitting down for the whole damn performance. And Lil Wayne’s child and Bird’s child is what only like 12 and 13? They looked like video vixens dancing on stage. And Singing “I wish I could love every girl” was stupid to me because BET wants to distance themselves from that. And you could see it in the Audicences face that they were like “What The Hell”. Just proof that Lil Wayne is a one summer hit wonder

   7. Beyonce…Beyonce…beyonce… The Song she was singing is a beautiful song. Ave Maria. But why that song? I hated the little fairy outfit she decided to wear. I thought she should’ve done a fast paced song, in which she incorporates MJ’s Moves.

   8. New Edition… Legendary group, who did a less than Legendary job for another legendary group. The Lead singer was off beat and key.

   9. Ciara preforming in the main show was also a huge question for me! WHY? Her ballad was a yawner just like her career.

   10. The fact that the show looked rushed. To me this was BET awards tribute to MJ: Putting pictures of him around the room, lazily doing ballads of him, and just always mentioning his name. This show did no justice. And Debroah Should be ashamed.

   Please MTV, go above and Beyond….

   in drake’s defense he sat down the entire time because he had a torn ACL. but everything else that you said i agree with. tho i felt Jamie did a good job hosting.
