It is 4.50 am right now, and I am finally wrapping up my interview with Kardinal Offishall for HipHopCanada.com (It should get published in the next few days…) As I’m doing my research still to write up my intro and googling around the internet, I got in his youtube page, and found this precious video of him and the crew having dinner with the Pussycat Dolls in Spain. It’s HILARIOUS. Please click…you won’t be dissapointed.
And keep in mind, Not 4 Sale is in stores people, so go get your copy. Do what Bishop does if you can afford it, and get yourself TWO copies or more! :)

Thanks to Mick Boogie once again for posting this!

Was checking out Mick Boogie’s blog earlier today (http://www.pressplayfashionforward.com/) and got up on some cool content.
New artist on Cash Money – Kevin Rudolf ft. Lil Wayne – Let it Rock
Song sounds hella dope.
Still wondering why there are no pictures of him on his myspace or anywhere else for that matter though. Maybe to increase curiosity?! They got me…

Zomba/Jive records announced yesterday that Britney Spears will be releasing her 6th studio album “Circus” this winter on December 2nd, which also coincides with her 27th birthday. The first single “Womanizer” is slated to hit radio on September 22nd and it’s produced by Atlanta production team The Outsyders. New album features collaborations with Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Danja, Bloodshy & Avant and more. Recently Britney took home 3 awards at the MVA’s for Best Female Video, Best Video of the Year, and Best Pop Video.

I liked Blackout…no R E A L L Y..I did. I still listen to some of the songs on my iTunes.
We’ll see what’s up Britney.

Today, September 16th, Nelly releases his 5th studio album, Brass Knuckles, after several delays. The album features collborations with a ton of artists such as Ashanti, Chuck D, Fergie, Gucci Mane, Jermaine Dupri, Keri Hilson, LL Cool J, Nate Dogg, Rick Ross, Pharrell, Ciara, R Kelly, Snoop Dogg, St. Lunatics, T.I. , Usher, and several others. My boy Polow Da Don produced 4 of the tracks including the first single “Party People” and a 5th bonus track for WalMart online.
Eventhough Lil Wayne is not featured on the album, he had a lot to say about his big brother Nelly. (Looks like Wayne still getting used to his new piercing )

Rock City – Lost it

Thanks to Beatology for all the new music.

I just had a chance to hear this record from Rock City ( Benny D’s group from the Virgin Islands signed to Konlive) and I absolutely love it. Going straight to my phone!

A friend of mine sent me a link to a funny ass youtube clip taken from “Friday” with Ice Cube. After watching that video, of course I scrolled around and I found this clip of Money Mike! Had me cracking up all the way to the floor.
Enjoy!

So yesterday I went to watch the movie I was really super excited about “Righteous Kill” starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and my man Fiddy
My girls and I went for a drink @ Jack’s first (Killa can’t beleive you stiffed me cold…u owe me a big rib dinner fo real…wait you get those free up in H city anyway!!TISK!) and then we headed over to the theatre for the 9:50 movie. Let me tell you first of all how we went all late and shit, thinking since it was a late sunday night it wouldn’t be busy cuz all the kids had to go to school…
nuh uh. Shit was jamm packed…we nearly had to sit in the front row!

Anyways…the movie…well the movie…to me…was boring.
Very.
I was really dissapointed. I mean I know the movie description was drama and not action, but I thought it really sucked. I felt like I was watching a CSI or Law and Order episode. 50 was the only exciting part in it for me, and even his role was so un-necessary to the grand role of things. He was a gangster caught up in the middle of the popo bullshit. They could take 50’s role out completely and it wouldn’t change the plot. The only thing it does, is that it diverts the viewer’s focus on who the killer is…(since the viewer may think it’s 50 in the beginning). As much as I was looking forward to it, I left the theatre dissapointed.
I didn’t bring my SCENE card with me, and now I want my 10.35$ back…Tisk.

We continued our TIFF celebrations on Monday @ Atelier for a party X was hosting. Too bad it was raining, or I would have SO snapped some media wall flicks!

Anyway, it was good times like always. Me and Willy (http://www.lostinthewillderness.blogspot.com/) headed down together and joined the festivities. Him and I always have a blast together!

Anna Cyzon is my favorite MTV/E-TALK host…

As a lot of Torontonians and of course film gurus already know, last weekend was the beginning of the Toronto International Film Festival. This is a crazy time for “Yorkville” the upscale area of Toronto, where a lot of the stars that come to town, stay, party, eat, and drink. So who was in town this year? Whooooooooosh a WHOLE lot of celebrities, from Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Kate Hudson, Jude Law, Jessica Biel, Kiera Knightly, Paris Hilton, Anne Hathaway, Puff Daddy, John Legend, Wyclef Jean and many many others. You can only imagine the parties going on last week.
You can also understand why I was a little busy last week and never got a chance to post!
I know it’s no excuse but…

Well Maxamus Entertainment was brought in on a party Lebron James was having at Brassaii (no I couldn’t post it on here as it was invite only) with a special live performance by Robin Thicke, which all in all can be described in one word: AMAZING. I rolled in with the crew (Lil X, Taj, Diggz, and Nadia) and kicked it with Val, Vania, Voyce and all the other fantastic ladies that we invited to party with us. I did not have a camera with me, so I never got any photos, but thank God, like always, my camera phone saved me. I just missed out on the photos with Lebron, because by the time the VIP rolled in, the open bar had already kicked in and I had had my 5th glass of wine…or something like that. Oh and I also have to mention that Mr Interscope himself, Jimmy Iovine was ALSO in attendance…whoa what a rush!
After the Brassaii we headed to Rosewater, where the party went on and on and on and on….

The other day my boy Lo (there’s your shout out) was showing me this dope video/record concept that him and his artist Shaun Boothe were working on.

Shaun is also a friend of mine and he has been making music for a minute, bubbling in the scene in Toronto and surrounding areas. The one thing about Shaun is that he’s always creative about his music and his videos. Always trying to combine his skills on the mic with the best visuals and concepts, his approach is definitely unique.

Introducing the Bio Series – In 12 months, Shaun will be releasing 12 videos, each capturing the life of 12 icons, starting off with James Brown

Check the first flick and post your feedback

I know these are both not the NEWEST! videos, but they’re recent, and if you haven’t had a chance to see them yet, here it goes

Hi Hater (Remix) – Featuring T.I., Swizz Beatz, Plies, Jadakiss & Fabolous Off His Upcoming New Album “If Tomorrow Comes

What them Girls Like – Ludacris ft. Chris Brown and Sean Garret

DJ Don Cannon really Luvs Lola! He was only playing…I swear :)

I just got this remix in my inbox the other day. It’s a 50 Cent remix of M.I.A’s Paper Planes (yeah that gunshot record that’s hoooott in the clubs right now). I love the original, even though the video is a little different. Mind you…we need “different” videos in music now instead of your typical glamor type stuff.

Anyways…this 50 Cent freestyle is alright. I’ve heard better from Fiddy. Doesn’t hurt the song, but I don’t feel it makes it any better either. I think Fiddy could have came harder on it and really hyped the record up..

I dunno…what you think!?

Oh and here’s M.I.A.’s video for the original PAPER PLANES.
Sidenote: Eventhough the song is really hot now, it’s been out since late ‘07
If you can, check out her “Bucky Done Gun” and “Come Around ft. Timbaland” records.

Tuesday, September 9th, Kardinal Offishall will release his much anticipated “NOT 4 SALE” album, which is his 4th studio album, and his first as a Konvict artist.
