It is, 5:58 in the morning, and I am STILL packing, writing, saving files, sending e-mails and getting dressed to leave. Spinz will be at my house by 8.30, in only 2 hours and I’m nowhere near ready. I’ve got 2 HUGE (and when I say huge i really do mean huge) luggages all ready to go, and I still haven’t packed my blowdryer, straightener, make up, lotions, or ANY carry-on items for that matter. This is me..I leave everything for last minute…tsk tsk tsk.
Anyways…just thought I’d say I’m leaving and let you know that I will be blogging every day..or at least try to, and let you know what ATL is all about. I’m hearing the city is going crazy since T.I. got out of jail and I’m super excited to be in the mess. Woohoo..

I think today is one of my most upsetting hair days (besides the day my hair was orange and I looked like tinkerbell because that was pretty depressing too…I was in my bed crying!!and I bet you would have been too!!). Anyways. my blonde hair needs too much maintenance and the bleach was killing it, so I had to go back to my natural and let it grow until it’s healed and ready to get fucked up again. I don’t think blondes have more fun, but I think my blonde hair was a lot more fun to fuck with. I still remember when I went to ATL in October and Rebeka called me “The blondie”. *tear rolls off* Forgive me

This past friday was kinda crazy as I had to go club hopping and hook up with a few different people. I’m not sure if you have heard of a producer named Mars, but he is definitely going to be the next big thing, as T.I. will be executive producing a show called Life on Mars, where the cameras follow the young genius as he travels across the world.

Will definitely be looking forward for this to come out. Mars seems to be real cool and down to earth so here at IluvLola we wish him nothing but the best of success!! Well Mars is also in a band and they perform at live shows for artists like….Lupe Fiasco!!!..which is the reason he was in Toronto. He invited my friends and I to the Lupe show making that my first and longest stop of the night as Lupe performed from 10.30PM until 1.10 AM!!!

As I posted like a few weeks back, On Tuesday March 25th, Janet was celebrating her birthday at Reign nightclub. The party involved having some hot celebrities come through un-expected and some expected of course, and the turnout was fantastic!! I of course went through wearing one of my famous Lola tees, and boys jeans for the SECOND week in a row. (Check out Me holding it down for Zone 4 to see last week’s outfit

So as I stopped by the Flow 93.5 offices late on a Tuesday evening to check up on my boy Starting From Scratch, I bumped into Rez who was in the studio preparing his OTA LIVE show. We got to talking about music industry, support, artists, Toronto, and soon enough it was time for them to go on air. I thought I’d tape them as they introduced the show on air so you guys could get a lil behind the scenes exclusive!! I always think of the readers….always.

April 19th ladies and gentlemen – that’s history in the making right there. For all of you who are not from Toronto or are once again living under a rock (lol) Men in Suits is an annual party that Maxamus Entertainment (http://www.maxamusent.com/) launches together with Little X as the primary host. They always have guest celebrities go through as the event is always, always, always sold out and is one of the hottest events of the year. If you think I’m exaggerating, ask ANYONE that has been going to these events for the past few years. People fully save up to make sure they’re the flyest, baddest, sexiest, hottest, trendies, flashiest ladies/fellas in the city.

I’m sure after watching Making the Band 4, you all know who Day 26 and Danity Kane are, and if you don’t …well…you’re living under a rock. No I’m joking but really these are two groups I think you should be checking out for. I think I like Danity Kane a little better though…but maybe I’m biased cuz I’m all about the girl movement…LOL..so kidding!
Anyways…I’m posting this because I recently found out that the main single off of Day 26’s debut album “Day 26“called “Got me going” was written by a friend of mine named Voyce. I was speechless. Voyce also has 4 other records on the album and he is currently signed to legend producer/songwriter Bryan Michael Cox. Yup.
It could be the product of growing up in Toronto, Canada where they think of themselves as “cultural mosaic” or the fact that he’s the middle child among three in his churchgoing and very Caribbean family. But, Aion “Voyce Alexander” Clarke has never been one to go with the flow or blend in, especially when it comes to his endeavors in music. He has spent the last five years honing his skills as singer, songwriter, and producer. Now, at the age of 23, he’s beginning to see the fruits of his labour. In April 2007, Don Bowie, right hand man of super producer Bryan Michael Cox (Mary j.Blige, Usher, Chris Brown to name a few), discovered Voyce on Myspace.com. Bowie played Voyce’s material for Cox, and in a matter of weeks, the pair met with Voyce in New York. The rest, as they say, is history. Now signed under Bowie-Cox Management, Voyce is poised to share his unique talent with the world. And when you add all of this to the publishing contract that he recently signed with Warner Chappell Music, it becomes clear that Voyce Alexander is a voice that everyone needs to become familiar with. It also becomes clear that his ambitions toward music industry domination are not as far-fetched as they had originally seemed.

So as I’m browsing around one of my favorite sites on the net www.mediatakeout.com (plug plug..) I found this video..I mean, yeah I’ve seen shit SIMILAR to this (like the big girl at Escape Nighclub who was trying to dance with one leg on top of the speaker, one leg on top of the DJ booth window and fell on the floor ON HER HEAD) but this video is straight WILD…in all senses of the word…
